Trust Thy Barber 3.0 marks a bold new chapter in our journey. Like any shop that’s doing something right, we’ve had people come and go. Some chose to branch off and do their own thing, and we genuinely wish them well. But as they move on, we move forward.
We’re proud to introduce three new apprentices, each handpicked for their attitude, hunger, and commitment to the craft. They’re here to learn the right way—from the ground up—under the standards that have made Trust Thy Barber one of the most respected names in the area. These future barbers will be sharpening their skills under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, learning not just how to cut, but how to carry themselves like true craftsmen.
We’re also expanding, with a brand new location opening in Murrells Inlet. This shop will reflect the same values, attention to detail, and customer-first attitude that you’ve come to expect—but with a few upgrades we think you’ll love.
And speaking of upgrades—our services are getting a clean-up as well. We’re streamlining what we offer to focus on what matters most: clean, consistent, high-quality grooming in a setting that respects your time and elevates your experience. The new service menu is designed to reduce clutter & confusion, prioritizing a hassle-free online booking experience that will elevate your experience with Trust Thy Barber!

While we do our best to take care of walk-ins, we operate primarily by appointment. The old barbershop model of sitting around for over an hour waiting for a haircut just isn’t practical – guys are busy and getting a haircut shouldn’t take all day. MEET THE TEAM
Tommy Printz
Owner / Master Barberati
Tommy is a 2nd generation barber that has been cutting hair “legally” since 2004, but as a kid he was always messing around in his dad’s barbershop. When he joined the Army he was appalled at how brutal and impersonal the military barbers were, so he bought some clippers and began cutting hair in the barracks. This is when he realized just how much a person appreciates it when you take the time to provide a quality service, even if it’s something as simple as a crew cut.
Dillon Printz
Master Barberati
Dillon comes from a family of barbers and has continued that tradition by joining the team at Trust Thy Barber. He’s got a knack for blurry fades and has possibly dethroned his old man as “mullet master” of the shop. Dillon blurs the line between old-school barber and high-end stylist by combing a two year education in cosmetology and working full time as an integral member of the Trust Thy Barber team. With an understanding of hair shapes, line theory and traditional barbering, Dillon can perform a wide variety of haircuts and is taking his career to the next level.
Spencer McDaniel
Master Barberati
Spencer and his family moved here from Orange County, CA. He might have spent much of his life here in Myrtle Beach, but his laid back SoCal vibes are still in full effect. Having cut hair without a license for a couple years, he knew that to take his career to the next level he would need his barber license. He joined the team at Trust Thy Barber as an apprentice and has thrived ever since. Having recently completed his apprenticeship, he’s a fully licensed barber and ready to take the next step in his promising career! When he’s not busting out slick fades, you can catch him on the links taking crispy divots and bombing drives down the fairway!
Desiree Schwarzkopf
Master Barberati
In addition to barbering, Desiree loves music, traveling and food. Her favorite destination so far? Costa Rica. Originally from the west coast, she attended the Paul Mitchell School of Hair & Beauty in Salt Lake City, Utah. Early on in her training she realized that barbering was her true passion, so she focused her talents there and since 2011 has built up quite the portfolio. Desiree owned her own shop for two years but a new baby and other family obligations meant she had to let it go and move to Myrtle Beach. She might be new to the area, but make no mistake – Desiree brings over a decade of experience and the skills, passion and dedication to fit right in with the rest of the Trust Thy Barber team.
CJ Gallagher
Barberati
CJ is the embodiment of “don’t talk about it – be about it”. Even before the state officially approved his apprentice license, CJ has been at the shop watching, learning and absorbing as much knowledge as he can from the other barbers on our team. A signed and touring producer from New York, CJ has learned to appreciate a variety of artforms and barbering is another outlet for him to express his creativity. The number one skill we require all of our staff to have is one we like to call “give-a-shit-edness” – and he has that in spades. When you sit in CJ’s chair, you can be sure he’s going to use all of his creative & technical skills to make sure you leave the shop looking fresh and feeling like a million bucks!
Katie Hall
Barberati
Katie joins us from the UK by way of Wales. When her family moved here she sought out a barbershop that had the “vibes” she had always see on social media when she still lived in the UK. She come to Trust Thy Barber as a client and fell in love with the atmosphere, the precision and artistry of barbering and the awesome staff we have here. Soon after Katie was at our shop almost every day: No pay, no hourly credits – she just loved the profession and wanted to be a part of it. Seeing her ambition and passion for this indistry is all that was needed for her to be offered an apprenticeship! Katie is now officially a member of our team and is available for bookings. She loves all aspects of barbering, but her favorite cut is the burst fade, due to the highly technical nature of the cut and the details that she can put into them.
SERVICE MENU
A Note on Beard Trims: Beard Trims are now an “Add On” service that can be added to any of our base services. There are two types: A Basic Beard Trim which is performed with clippers only, and a Premium Beard Trim which features a hot towel, straight razor and beard oil & after shave. Not everyone wanted a straight razor with their beard trim, so now there are options to further customize your experience!
Prices Based on Barber Level
Buzz Cut: $30 & Up
Our Buzz Cut service is for those who just want one clipper length all over the head. Easy Peezy! PLEASE NOTE: This service is ONE clipper length only. If you want your hair to blend from shorter to longer, please select either a classic cut or a skin fade (if going all the way down to the skin).
Classic Haircut: $35 & Up
Our classic haircut is perfect for anyone who wants a simple clipper cut on the side with a scissor cut up top – In. Out. Simple! If you want to go down to the skin on the sides, please select our “Skin Fade” service.
Skin Fade: $38 & Up
Skin fades are just that: haircuts that start at skin level and progress to either a single clipper length or short scissor cut up top. If you wish to keep relatively long on the top (like a pomp or side-part), please select our “Specialty Haircut” service.
Specialty Haircut: $45 & Up
Mullets, Burst Fades, Edgars, Faux Hawks, Taper Fades & Skin Fades (with long hair on top) all fall within the “Specialty Haircut” designation. These services require additional skill & time to complete and are priced accordingly.
Transformation: $50 & Up
Sometimes it just all has to go! This service is for those of you who have really long hair and want to cut it all off and start over fresh! Or maybe it’s just been a REALLY long time since your last cut. No biggie – this service is for you too! Extra time and skill is needed to make your transformation as “transformational” as possible so price and duration will reflect that.
The Executive: $75 & Up
The ultimate in luxury men’s grooming! Our executive service includes a haircut, beard trim OR face shave, 2 Bay Rum infused hot towels, nose/ ear waxing and finished with a shampoo & after shave. If you’re looking to spoil yourself, this is the service for you!
Beard Trim Only: $30 & Up
Tame that mane with our beard trim service! Enjoy a hot towel & face massage, straight razor edge up and application of your choice of beard oil or balm.
