A TRUE BARBERSHOP EXPERIENCE
From the moment you walk in you’ll realize this is a true “Barber Shop”. The vibe is fresh and modern, yet undeniably old-school.
Appointments Encouraged
Get In. Get Out. Get On With Your Life.
While we do our best to take care of walk-ins, we operate primarily by appointment. The old barbershop model of sitting around for over an hour waiting for a haircut just isn’t practical – guys are busy and getting a haircut shouldn’t take all day. Schedule your appointment below & we’ll see you soon!
MEET THE TEAM

Tommy P.
Owner / Master Barberati
Tommy is a second-generation barber who’s been cutting hair legally since 2004—but his roots in the craft go way back to his childhood, hanging around his dad’s barbershop and picking up clippers long before the state said he could.
His passion for the trade truly sharpened during his time in the Army. Appalled by the rushed, impersonal cuts from the base barbers, Tommy took matters into his own hands—buying clippers and cutting hair in the barracks. It was there he discovered just how much people appreciate a well-executed cut, even something as simple as a crew cut, when it’s done with care and attention to detail.
That moment lit a fire—and he’s been elevating the standard of service ever since.

Dillon P.
Master Barberati
Dillon comes from a long line of barbers—and now he’s carving out his own legacy at Trust Thy Barber. With a natural talent for blurry fades and a growing reputation as the shop’s new “Mullet Master” (sorry, Dad!), Dillon bridges the gap between classic barbering and modern styling.
Armed with a two-year education in cosmetology and full-time experience on the floor, he blends technical knowledge with creative precision. His deep understanding of hair shapes, line theory, and traditional barbering techniques allows him to deliver a wide range of cuts—from timeless to trendy.
Whether you’re after a fresh fade, a perfect mullet, or a sharp new style, Dillon has the skills to back it up—and he’s just getting started.

Spencer M.
Master Barberati
Spencer made the move from Orange County, CA to Myrtle Beach with his family—but don’t worry, the laid-back SoCal vibes came with him. While he’s spent much of his life in the Carolinas, that West Coast cool is still front and center.
Before joining the team, Spencer had already been cutting hair for a couple of years without a license, honing his skills and building confidence. But he knew that to take his craft seriously, he needed to level up. That’s when he joined Trust Thy Barber as an apprentice—and he hasn’t looked back since.
Now a fully licensed barber, Spencer is bringing clean fades, sharp lines, and solid experience to the chair. His work ethic and chill demeanor make him a favorite among clients, and he’s only getting better.
When he’s not behind the chair, you’ll find Spencer on the golf course, taking crispy divots and launching bombs down the fairway.

Desiree S.
Master Barberati
Desiree brings West Coast energy and over a decade of experience to the Trust Thy Barber team. A graduate of the Paul Mitchell School of Hair & Beauty in Salt Lake City, Utah, she discovered early in her training that barbering was her true calling—and she’s been sharpening her craft ever since.
Since 2011, Desiree has built an impressive portfolio, including owning her own barbershop for two years. Life brought her to Myrtle Beach after welcoming a new baby and shifting her focus to family, but her passion for barbering never wavered.
Outside the shop, Desiree is all about music, travel, and good food—her favorite destination so far? Costa Rica.
She may be new to the area, but don’t let that fool you—Desiree brings serious skill, dedication, and heart to every cut, making her a natural fit on the TTB team.

CJ G.
Barberati
CJ is the embodiment of “don’t talk about it—be about it.” Before his apprentice license was even approved by the state, he was already in the shop, watching, learning, and soaking up every bit of knowledge he could from the barbers around him.
A signed and touring music producer from New York, CJ is no stranger to creative expression. For him, barbering is another powerful outlet—one that blends precision, artistry, and personal connection.
Around here, the number one trait we look for is something we call Give-a-Shit-edness—and CJ has it in spades. He’s all-in, all the time.
When you sit in CJ’s chair, you’re not just getting a haircut—you’re getting a full-on experience fueled by passion, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to make you look and feel like a million bucks.

Katie H.
Barberati
Katie joins us from across the pond—originally from Wales, UK. When her family relocated to the States, she set out to find a barbershop that matched the vibes she had admired online back home: sharp fades, artistic precision, and a sense of real community – She found exactly that at Trust Thy Barber.
What started as a client visit quickly turned into something more. Captivated by the craft and the culture, Katie began showing up to the shop almost daily—no paycheck, no school credit—just pure passion. Her dedication didn’t go unnoticed, and it wasn’t long before we offered her an apprenticeship.
Now officially part of the TTB team, Katie is taking appointments and loving every moment behind the chair. While she enjoys all styles, her favorite is the burst fade, where she gets to lean into her technical skills and showcase her eye for detail.

Kay G.
Barberati
Kay has been a licensed barber since 2013. She originally picked up the clippers to serve the most important men in her life—her father and sons—but quickly fell in love with the craft. What started as a way to give back to her family soon became a fulfilling career that allows her to create the life she envisions for them.
Born in Atlantic Beach, lovingly known as The Black Pearl, Kay is a true beach baby who’s never met a stranger. She’s a natural conversationalist, known for her quirky icebreakers, infectious laughter, and her uncanny ability to pick up on the little things—body language, tone, and energy.
For Kay, every client is like an old friend she’s just meeting for the first time. Whether she’s doing a full transformation or a simple clean-up, her favorite part of barbering is being of service. She believes in the power of presence and takes pride in creating a space where people can relax, reset, and leave feeling lighter than when they came in.

Buddy M.
Junior Barberati
Buddy was born and raised right here in Dirty Myrtle—but funny enough, he never stepped foot into a barbershop until he walked into ours. From a young age, he was always experimenting with his own hair and recently started cutting his friends’ hair just for fun.
Curious to level up, he decided to visit a real barbershop to pick up some tips. The moment he walked into Trust Thy Barber, he was hooked. He took what he learned during that visit, applied it to his friends’ cuts, and realized this “hobby” was quickly turning into a full-blown passion.
When he heard we were looking for new team members, he didn’t hesitate—he threw his name in the hat and is soaking up knowledge and sharpening his skills every day. He’s driven to give his clients a confidence boost that lasts long after they leave the chair—because when you look your best, you feel your best.

Gio G.
Junior Barberati
Gio comes from a lineage of barbers—his father cut hair back in El Salvador—so the craft has always been part of his world. Still, he never seriously considered it as a career until fate brought him into the shop one day and he recognized a familiar face: an old grade school friend working behind the chair.
What started as a casual visit quickly turned into something more. Gio found himself coming around even when he didn’t need a haircut, drawn to the energy, the camaraderie, and the pride behind every service. The more time he spent in the shop, the more inspired he became to follow in his father’s footsteps.
He went from hanging out to asking questions, studying the details, and eventually picking up his first pair of clippers. His constant presence paid off when an apprenticeship opened up—and Gio seized the opportunity with both hands.

Angel M.
Junior Barberati
Angel was born in Maryland but made his way to the beach four years ago—and never looked back. For him, barbering is more than just a profession; it’s a way to connect with people, build confidence, and help clients feel like the best version of themselves. He understands that a great haircut isn’t just about looking sharp—it’s about feeling good, too.
Outside the shop, Angel is a lover of poetry and deep conversations. He’s always curious to hear different perspectives on life and happy to share his own when asked. Whether it’s through clippers or conversation, Angel is all about making meaningful connections.

Steve M.
Junior Barberati
Meet Steve, born and raised here in Myrtle Beach, an aspiring barber with a hands-on history and an eye for detail. After years of working as a welder, he made the bold decision to trade sparks for shears— channeling his steady hands and precision into the art of barbering.
A lifelong artist with a passion for creativity, Steve brings a fresh perspective to the craft, blending technical skill with an artistic flair. From welding metal to sketching designs, every step of the journey has shaped a unique approach to style and grooming.
Now training to master the barber’s chair, Steve is committed to learning fast, working hard, and making every cut a reflection of skill, care, and personality.

Shamus
Vibe Master
Shamus isn’t just a part of the barbershop — he is the barbershop. The vibe master, the heartbeat, the soul behind the chair and between the jokes. While he may not hold clippers, his presence sets the tone. He’s the first to greet you, the last to make you laugh, and the reason the energy always feels just right.
Around here, Shamus is more than a mascot—he’s a symbol of what we stand for: connection, craft, and good times with good people. Every barbershop has walls and chairs. Shamus gives ours life.
